- Happy the People: Psalm 33
Soloist: Happy the people the Lord has chosen to be his own. Congregation: Happy the people the Lord has chosen to be his own. S: For upright is the word of the Lord, and all his works are trustworthy. He loves justice and right; of the kindness of the Lord the earth is full. C: Happy the people the Lord has chosen to be his own. S: Happy the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he has chosen for his own inheritance. From heaven the Lord looks down; He sees all mankind. C: Happy the people the Lord has chosen to be his own. S: But see, the eyes of the Lord are upon those who fear him, upon those who hope for his kindness To deliver them from death and preserve them in spite of famine. C: Happy the people the Lord has chosen to be his own. - Reading: John 9:1-6 View
Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam.” So he went and washed, and came back seeing. - Devotion
