All: O Lord Jesus Christ, bright Sun of the world: Shine upon my spirit and drive away the night of sin, that I may walk in Your holy light all my life and even forevermore. I: Almighty God and Father, we thank You for all of Your goodness and tender mercies, especially for the gift of Your dear Son, through whom You have revealed Your grace. II: Let Your blessing rest on seed time and harvest, on commerce and industry, on medicine and science. I: Sanctify the arts and culture, the rest and leisure of Your people. II: Bless all who in their daily calling endeavor to do Your will, and give them assurance that their work is pleasing in Your sight. All: Protect our bodies and souls from all harm and danger; support us in our last hour with Your mercy; through Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one true God, now and forever.
